Doctor's father Joseph married again to a Rachel Catherine (Linn) Duke Rowlett. Rachel Catherine and her first husband had a daughter by the name of Tennessee. Tennessee would marry Doctor Franklin Simpson. So Doctor's step-mother was also his mother in law.
