    • Obituary: GABRIEL A. HOSTETLER
      Gabriel A. Hostetler, 74, Mill Creek farmer, died Saturday at 5:50 pm at the Epworth hospital in South Bend. Born in Wills township, August 29, 1870, the son of Joseph and Polly Hostetler, he was married here on February 10, 1897 to Maggie A. Bunton, who survives. He was a member of the Sauktown Christian church and an elder of that church. In addition to his wife he is survived by three daughters Mrs. Irvin Haag, Mrs. Arthur Keene, both of New Carlisle; Mrs. Claude Dillon, North Liberty; seven sons, Oliver, of Gary; Melvin, North Liberty; John, of Walkerton; Bennie, of Mill Creek; Gerald, LaPorte; Howard and Earl both at home; 17 grandchildren, two great grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Mytildia Jerral and Mrs. John Rummel, both of South Bend, Mrs. Melvin Miller, New Carlisle; two brothers, Albert Hostetler, Miami, Fla., David M. Hostetler, also of New Carlisle. One son and one daughter preceded her in death. Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the residence and at 2:30 o'clock at the Sauktown Christian church, the Rev. G.C Rambo and the Rev. Den Hance officiating. Burial will be in Sauktown cemetery in charge of O.M. Haverstock. Friends may call at the residence from this evening until time of the service. Source: The Herald Argus, Monday, March 5, 1945 p2.
