Army Officer during WWII worked on developing missiles. First wife Lois was his college sweetheart. She was from Chanute Kansas, two children, a boy and a girl, Dianne.
The only time that I can remember meeting them was at my Mother's Aunt Victoria Drollinger's funeral in Wichita, Kansas, which was probably about 1961 or 1962 or so. I remember my Mother asking Gabriel about his two other children by his first wife. He told her that he had absolutely no idea as to where they were or how they were doing. He said that after their divorce his ex-wife took the two children and completely disappeared with them. At the time of their marriage Gabriel had been a rather low level executive for General Electric. As I remember his ex-wife's father or some other close relative of hers was a fairly senior executive at General Electric. When they divorced Gabriel lost his job at GE. Chip at the time of the funeral was about 5 years old or so, and I was about 14 years old at the time. Once you sent me the information about our family I thought that it was ironic to learn that at the time of the funeral Gabriel's son was a West Point cadet.
