- Edward T. "Butch" Pondo Sr., age 80 of Millsboro, DE, passed away on Thursday, September 6, 2018, at his home. He was born May 4, 1938 in Philadelphia, PA, son of the late Edward and Anna (Trullinger) Pondo.
Butch graduated from Roxborough High School in Philadelphia. He married Judith, the love of his life, on December 12, 1959. Butch built a career as a golf course superintendent and after many dedicated years, retired in 2005. His interests were many and varied. He was a skilled trap shooter and relished the outdoors; hunting and fishing being among his favorite activities. Butch enjoyed cooking, especially for family and friends. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He was well loved and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Butch is survived by his beloved wife of nearly 59 years, Judith; his sons: Edward Jr. and David and his wife Jennifer; his daughter, Kim and her husband Joe; his grandchildren: Joseph and Connor; his sisters: Joan and her husband Matthew, and Carol; his nieces: Joanie and Christine; his nephews: Matthew, Mark, Matthew, and Brandon; and his great-niece, Nicole.
All services will be private.
