Notes - Another correspondence letter from Patience Ayers to Dellie Craig. Here are some excerpts: June 5, 1977
Samuel Drollinger was the 9th child of 14 children of Hannah Isley and Adam Drollinger: Samuel married Mary Anne Jones and they had 10 children. Ada their 5th child married Owen B Craig and my father Bert was their 9th child. Mary Anne died when my father was very small then Samuel married Margaret Richardson Stevenson (who had 2 children) then she and Samuel had 5 - 2 died in infancy.
3 excerpts from Patience Ayers 5 Jun 1977 letter to me in her own words. She is helping full in info!---Adam Drollinger's father was John Drollinger but I don't know his mothers name. They are all buried at Bonebrake Cemeteryi which is about 3 miles south fo Veedersburg, IN on St Rd 41. There is a "Drollinger row" of tombstones just onorth of the old church. The cemetery is well kept, thanks to my mother who helped form the cemetery league year ago. My parents are buried there.
I think Sam Sr was my dad's favorite nephew as they both loved to hunt.
When I was a child my younger sister Martha & I would spend a week with Aunt Ada Craig during the summer and what a treat for 2 country girls to visit in town. Her children were married and gone from home then.
More excerpts from 5 Jun 1977 letter from Patience Ayers pertaining to Jones side of the family in her own words: ----I don't know much about Mary Anne Jones. She had a sister Henerietta Jones Tinsley that used ot live with us in the winter time when I was a small child and in the summer she stayed with her brother Will Jones that lived west and north of us toward Kingman, Ind. But finally Aunt Henerietta in her later years went back to Tenn was married again and buried there Lawrenceburg, TN.
More information from Patirence Ayers correspondence letter from 1978 in her words ----I don't know where Mary Ann Jones was born. She had a brother William (Will) Jones that lived west of Steam Corner and he had 2 daughters. There was another sister of Will Jones was Henerietta Jones Tinsley Harmon. She married a Dr Tinsley and lived in Tenn. After he died she came back to Ind. and lived with her brother Will and our family. She had her own bedroom at our house. I have a chair that was in her room. After several years she went back to Tenn and married this Harmon and died down there. Madge and Aunt Rosa Tinder visited her down there one time.

[excerpts]
29 January 1978
Patience was daughter of Nathan Drollinger and granddaughter of Samuel Drollinger. This is typed what she wrote to me in her own words: I ask about where Samuel Drollinger lived and if she knew her dad was his administrator.
Yes, I knew my dad was administrator of his fathers estate. I was raised ¾ mile west of where my grandfather lived but the house had been torn down before my time. My Uncle Nathan bought 80 acres south of his home on St Rd 41 and my dad bouthgt 80 acres west of Uncle Nates (Nathan) farm. My brother Hershel bought my dads' farm after he died and his son Norman lives on it today.
