Notes - MILL CREEK-Benjamin (Bennie) F. Hostetler, 71, of 9042 E. CR-220N, died Tuesday, Aug. 30, at 4:08 pm at St. Joseph Medical Center, South Bend, Ind., following an illness of four months. He was born Dec. 26, 1911, in Wills Township, LaPorte Cunty, to Gabriel and Maggie (Bunton) Hostetler and had lived in the township all his life. He was a member of the Mill Creek Baptist Church and the Lincoln Township Farm Bureau. He was a retired farmer. Surving are one daughter, Mrs. Donald (Jean) Cadwallader of Michigan City; two sons, Robert D. of Mill Creek and Franklin J. of Michigan City; one grandchild; three great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Jary Jane Haag of New Carlisle, Ind.; Mrs. Sarah Keene of Woodlawn, Tenn, and mrs.Hazel Dillon of North Liberty, Nind.; five brothers, Oliver of Gary, Melvin of South Bend, John of Walkerton, Ind., Earl of Mill Creek and Gerald of Rolling Prairie, Ind., and a number of nieces and nephews. One son, Larry, one sister and two brothers preceded him in death. The funeral will be 1 pm Friday at the Haverstock Funeral Home with Rev. Ronald Devenport officiating.
