  	Mrs. Mamie Emmons, 79, of 3045 Hilldale rd., died at 5:10 a.m.,Wednesday in Community Hospital following two years of failing healthand five days of serious illness. She was born Nov. 14, 1891, in Evansville, Ind., the daughter ofSwonte and Teresa Drulinger Swedenburg and had resided here for thepast 51 years. Mrs. Emmons was a member of the Fifth Lutheran Church. Her husband, Fred B., preceded her in death in 1961. A son Fred L.Emmons was killed in action in World War II. Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Mary Martin, Mrs. Mildred Cox,Mrs. Virginia McFann and Miss Emma Emmons, all of Springfield; fivesons, Gilbert, Robert, Willard, John, all of Springfield, and Paul ofClifton; 13 grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
