Inscription reads, "Jessie L. Son of W. & A. Drullinger...[Note: remaining data is missing. It appears Jessie's obelisk style headstone was broken into two or more pieces at one time. The lowest portion of the stone which existed at one time is not in the photo and may be missing. The top portion of the stone appears to retain its natural patina due to the aging process and weathering. The so-called 'middle' piece is what contains the only visible inscription which I have recorded herein and it appears that someone has cleaned the patina off of this piece of stone. It further appears that someone has sawcut the bottom portion of this piece so that it would sit flat on top of the large base section of stone that is pictured in the photograph. It should be noted that the sawcut actually is cut through the name 'Drullinger' leaving only the top half of the letters remaining.]" Note: Perhaps, the cemetery or a local historical society was the responsible party for making the repairs and hopefully, they may have additional information regarding this particular stone and gravesite. Ref photo. Hopefully, someone living near this cemetery can pay a visit to these headstones and accurately record what is inscribed upon them before it is forever lost to the ravages of time and weather.
