- Lois Shirley Riley, 82, of Taos, Missouri, passed away Thursday, January 13, 2011, at her home, with her family by her side.
She was born July 12, 1928, in Minonk, Illinois, a daughter of the late Edward and Ora (Wolfe) Frobish.
She was a graduate of Ottawa High School in Ottawa, Illinois, and went on to attend business school in Omaha, Nebraska.
On November 23, 1951, Lois was united in marriage in Omaha, Nebraska, to Calvin R. Riley, who survives at their home.
Lois was a homemaker, and also worked as a Sales Clerk for Sears for many years.
She was a member of the Presbyterian Church while living in Nebraska.
She enjoyed crocheting, needle point, playing bingo, and taking trips to Las Vegas and Casino Boats.
Along with her husband Calvin, Lois is survived by one son: Larry Riley (wife Delores) of Allen, Texas; one daughter: Dorene Nilges (husband Randy) of Holts Summit, Mo.; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one brother: Dwayne Frobish of the state of Michigan; and one sister: Carol Tarr of the state of Washington.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, one son, one sister, two brothers, and one grandson.
Friends will be received from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 22, 2011, at Harvest Time Ministries, 100 Chet Jac Drive in Holts Summit, where a Memorial Service will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Rev.
