She was born on September 16, 1926 in Missouri to Ernest and Lola Brooks. In January 29, 1945 she married Edward Gallagher. Together they raised their daughters Dianne and Suzanne. Vivian worked as a school cafeteria attendant for 10 years. She was very active in the work place bowling team. She also worked as a Licensed Vocational Nurse in her early years. Vivian is survived by her daughters, Dianne van der Wende and Suzanne Miller, and two brothers, Bill and Sam Brooks of Missouri. She had two sisters and three brothers that preceded her in death. She had 8 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Grave side services will be held April 21, 2016 at Eternal Valley Cemetery, Newhall, CA. Memorial donations may be made in Vivian's name to the American Cancer Society.
