  BOWMAN WINSTON-SALEM - Mrs. Charley Pickard "Billie" Bowman, 92, diedWednesday, July 15, 2009 at Arbor Acres in Winston-Salem. Mrs. Bowman was born December 7, 1916 in Orange County to Charles C.and Cora Wiley Pickard. She was a member of Love' s United MethodistChurch and very active in the Walkertown community for over 50 years. Mrs. Bowman was preceded in death by her parents; four sisters; onebrother; and her husband of 58 years, Dewey A. Bowman. Surviving are two daughters: Faye Bowman of Charlotte and Judy Selland husband, Calvin, of Olin, NC; three grandsons: Joshua Sell andwife, Leigh Ann, of Advance, Luke Sell and wife, Ashley, ofHuntersville, and Benjamin Sell and fianc?e, Lindsey Everidge, ofCornelius; four great-grandchildren: Peyton, Coleman, Madelyn andWalker Sell; and one sister, Mrs. Grace P. Silvers, of Birmingham, AL. There will be a Memorial Service at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 18, atLove' s United Methodist Church with the Rev. Sybil R. Parksofficiating.
