- Sammie Clay Gallaher of Belleview, MO passed away on Sunday, February 13, 2022 at the age of 86 years, 11 months, and 22 days. He was born February 22, 1935 in Black, MO a son of the late Roy Clarence and Goldie Marie Trollinger Gallaher.
On Dec. 28, 1957 he was united in marriage to Margaret Elizabeth "Betty" Russell, who survives.
To this union was born six children; Rick "Charlotte" Gallaher and John "Loretta" Gallaher of Belleview, Sue Gallaher "Denise Bach" of St. Charles, MO, Bill "Colleen" Gallaher of Farmington, Randy "Karen" Gallaher of Brighton, IL, and Charles "Melissa" Gallaher of Tampa, FL.
Other survivors include a sister, Marcia Trokey of Farmington; 16 grandchildren, Chuck, T.J., Tabby, Sissy, Robbie, Brandie, Harley, Josie, Sam, Zachary, Ethan, Ben, Annie, Chuckie, Nate, and Kaity; 17 great grandchildren, Hayden, Addison, Eternity, Avery, Ada, Ellie, Ben, Easton, Holden, Corbin, Carter, Brinley, Harvey, MIra, Katilyn, Hunter, and Joey, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Tommie, Donald, and Charles.
Sam was a 1954 graduate of Ironton, High School, a member of the Belleview Baptist Church and served his Country in the United States Army.
For may years he worked at the Arcadia Valley Hospital and was a Butcher at the AV Locker Plant.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 16, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Cole Family Funeral Home Chapel. A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, February 17, 2022 at 11:00 AM from Cole Family Chapel with Rev. Don Akers officiating. Interment will be Caledonia Methodist Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Belleview Baptist Church.
