- Mr. Satterfield was born on November 2, 1947 and passed away on Thursday, August 27, 2015. Mr. Satterfield was a resident of Graham, North Carolina at the time of his passing. He attended Southern Alamance High School. He was a veteran of the US Army. He is survived by his wife Brenda. The family will receive friends from 6:00pm until 8:00pm. Saturday August 29 2015 at the McClure Funeral and Cremation Service 1030 South Main Street Graham NC other times at the residence. A Funeral Service will be held at 3:00pm Sunday August 30 2015 at the Lambs Chapel Haw River NC with the Reverend James L. Rosser and Reverend Ervin Kimrey Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in the Alamance Memorial Park with military honors.
MEBANE - Mr. Wade Douglas Satterfield, 67, of 2736 Bason Road, died at 6:33 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 27, 2015, at his home after a sudden illness. He was born in Alamance County, NC, attended Southern Alamance High School, was a veteran of the U.S. Army, retired from AT&T as a lineman, a member of the American Legion Post of Mebane, the Haw River Christian Church, the Gold Wing Riders Association, Chapter N, of Burlington, NC.
Surviving family members are his wife, Brenda Gail Kimrey Satterfield, of the home; daughters, Glenda Marie Satterfield of the home, Melanie Dawn Satterfield Moody and husband Wayne of Mebane; his greatest joy, pride and loving buddy, grandson Luke Douglas Moody; sister, Virginia Carol Satterfield of Mebane; brother, Shelton Miles Satterfield and wife Debbie of Lillington, NC.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Archie Brutcher Satterfield and Virginia Lois Trollinger Satterfield and brother, Boyd Satterfield.
