      Lang, Amelia A. (13 SEP 1927)
Miss Amelia Anna Lang, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ben Lang of Marshfield, and Mr. Michael J. Geiger, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Geiger of Dorchester, Clark County, Wis., were united in marriage at St. John's Catholic Church at Marshfield on Tuesday morning, Sept.13th, 1927 at nine o'clock, Father A. J. Dorrenbach, pastor of the church, performing the ceremony in the presence of a large number of relatives and friends.
Miss Margaret Lang, sister of the bride, was maid of honor and wore pale green crepe de chein, a bandeau of rhinestones and carried a bouquet of pink astors and sweet peas.
Miss Frances Geiger, sister of the groom, was bridesmaid and wore honeydew crepe de chein, a bandeau of rhinestones and carried a bouquet of pink astors and sweet peas.
Little Lucy Drollinger of Auburndale, was the flower girl, and wore a dainty frock of orchid georgette and carried a basket of mixed flowers.
The groom's attendants were Frank Geiger Jr., brother of the groom, and Frank Lang, brother of the bride.
The bride wore white flat crepe with a veil caught with a silver bandeau set with rhinestones, and carried a shower bouquet of pink and white roses and sweet peas.
A wedding dinner and supper were served at the home of the bride's parents for the bridal party, relatives, and invited guests and in the evening they all passed the time in dancing.
The bride has lived at home with her parents and for the past seven years has been assistant secretary of the McMillan Granse Mutual Fire Insurance Co., of which her father, Ben Lang, secretary. Of Michael the groom, with whom we are personally acquainted, we can say that he is a hardworking, industrious and honest young man who will make a successful voyage on the sea of matrimony and make a mark in the agricultural world.
The following relatives attended the wedding: Mr. and Mrs. Frank Geiger Sr. and family, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Geiger and family, Mr. and Mrs. John Staab and family, all of Dorchester, Mr. and Mrs. Anton Wittmann and son of Curtiss, Miss Mae Geiger of Stevens Point, Frank Geiger Jr. of Hilbert, Mr. and Mrs. Fred LaBarge and daughter of Loyal, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Wolf and sons, Mike, Charles and Ben and Mr.and Mrs. John Wolf, of Hewitt, Mike Derfus and family of Stratford, Mr. and Mrs. Louis C. Grassel Jr. and son and Mrs. Wilmer Drollinger and children of Auburndale, Mr. and Mrs. Jake Esser and Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Seubeit and family of the town of McMillan, and Mrs. Conrad Seubert and daughter Marie of Marshfield. Thursday evening a free wedding dance was given at the Dorchester Opera House. The young couple will make their home on the groom's farm west of the village.
The Clarion joins with the many friends in extending well wishes to the newlyweds and hope their troubles will all be little ones.
