Harris Ernest Shirtz, 73, of Parma, a pioneer Idahoan died Thursday night in a Nampa nursing home. Mr. Shirtz was born Oct. 1, 1886, in Polk City, Iowa, and moved with his parents to Indian Valley, Idaho, when he was one year old. He moved to Parma in 1913 and was married Dec. 14, 1914, in Parma to Clara Hamilton. He since lived there. Mrs. Shirtz died June 3, 1958.
He was a member of the Parma Church of God.
Surviving are two sons, Albert B. Shirtz of Boise and Harris Lafayette Shirtz of Twin Falls, four granddaughters and four great granddaughters.
Services will be conducted at Ten Davis Monday at 2:30 p.m. The Rev. Paul Yadon of Parma will officiate. The cortege will leave the Peckham-Dakan-Davis Chapel at 2 p.m. for interment service.
Services are pending at the Peckham-Dakan-Davis Chapel.
