    • Proposed Change: Family: PVT Haslee Howard Caviness / Catherine Ernestine Trollinger
      Tree: Drollinger Genealogy

Description: I believe Catherine Ernestine Trollinger (F7239) was married to my uncle, my mother's brother, Durward Pyle, her 2nd husband. His MOTHER was a Moody - Sallie Elnora Moody Pyle. And I think that may be where the Moody name came into your genealogy; I believe it should be Pyle instead. Ernestine Caviness was Durward Pyle's 2nd wife, and the rest of the description fits. Ernestine was from the Carolina area of Alamance County, lived near the church, had children and two of them were Janet and Alan, whom I have met and spent time in the presence of. Here is a link to the www.Blackburn-tree.org website page that shows Durward as the oldest son of Samuel Tilden Pyle, whose wife was Sallie Elnora Moody.(My mother was Iris Eloise Pyle, Durward's sister and Samuel Tilden Pyle's daughter.) I reference the Blackburn-tree.org website because a Jehu Pyle in Samuel Tilden Pyle's ancestors married Ruth Lindley who was from southern Alamance County and SHE was a Blackburn descendant. I found all this out after my mother Iris Eloise Pyle died in 2000, and I had a letter from the Blackburn Family Association.
