- Jimmie "Jim" Lynn Keener of Miami, OK passed from this life Tuesday, March 5, 2019 at his home. He was 76.
Jim was born December 10, 1942 to Luther Dee and Gail (Allgood) Keener. He had lived in Miami all his life. He worked for Junge Bread Company in Joplin, MO where he was an area delivery driver of Bunny Bread and Butternut Bread to local grocery stores and restaurants. Jim also was a farmer and a member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Miami, OK.
Jim married Deanna Trolinger Keener November 19, 1964 in Columbus, KS. She preceded him in death September 29, 1999. He was also preceded by a great granddaughter Ava White, his parents and a brother Kenny Keener.
Survivors include 2 daughters Paula Johnston and husband Timothy of Miami, OK and Denise Martin of Grove, OK, 5 grandchildren Tonya White, Aaron Johnston, Chad Johnston, Reid Martin and Brittni Martin and 6 great grandchildren Jade White, Justice White, Brice Johnston, Brianna Powers, Lani Johnston and Emma Johnston.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at the Immanuel Baptist Church in Miami, OK. Rev. Paul Simpson will officiate. Interment will be in G.A.R. Cemetery in Miami, OK. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at Paul Thomas Funeral Home Chapel in Miami, OK. Services have been placed in the care of the Paul Thomas Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Miami, OK.
