- Funeral services for W.T. Briscoe, age 84 of Seminole, Texas will be held on Thursday, October 22, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at First United Methodist Church, with Rev. Marv Gregory officiating. Burial will follow in Brownfield Cemetery. All services are under the direction of Boyer Funeral Home of Seminole.
Mr. Briscoe passed away Monday, October 19, 2009 at his home in Seminole, Texas following a lengthy illness. He was born April 2, 1925 in Welch, Texas to Eula Yvonne (Bernard) and Melton John Briscoe. He married Alvis Allene Bradley May 19, 1946 in Brownfield, Texas.
Mr. Briscoe was a member of the First United Methodist Church. He served in the United States Navy during World War II in the Seabees. He owned Briscoe Tractor Company in Seminole for thirty-one years, and he drove for Mack Wood Trucking for thirteen years before retiring. He had a love for model trains. He enjoyed fishing and hunting, and he also loved to drive his eighteen-wheeler.
Mr. Briscoe is preceded in death by his parents, one brother and two sisters. He is survived by:
