- Born Ann Louise Peasley, June 15, 1927, died July 25, 2017, and enjoyed a full life filled with uncertainty, drama, fulfilled dreams and met expectations. Ann may have lost her mother, Ruby during preschool age but as an only child of Perl and Ruby (Kimball) Peasley, she found love, adventure, heartache, and many homes with loving and treasured relatives.
Ann lived with Will and Grace Kimball, Lucille Kimball, Verna Kirkwood, and lots of time growing up with the Chapins, Osbornes, Damraus, and Cushings. Originally from Lake City, Minn. She also lived as a child in Hersey, St. Paul, Tipler, and Durand. She started out young adulthood living in Milwaukee with her aunt, Lucille and grandmother, Grace. Working at Nash Motors, coincidently where her dad, Perl was working, she got to know the city by traveling the bus routes. The family of three went to church at Galena Street Methodist in Milwaukee, and found the man she was to marry, Frankie Drollinger. Frank and Ann married and they started a family. Susan, William, Donald, and Jerald kept Ann busy. Frank followed a calling and became a Methodist minister and that started more adventures. Franks job took the family to Menominee Falls, Eden, Ithaca, Fond du Lac, Brown Deer, La Crosse, Wausau, Black Hawk, and retirement at the Cottage near Wautoma. Ann made a final move back to La Crosse where she resided until her death. She was an amazing person and improvised where she had to taking jobs as school secretary at Ithaca High, then when she realized she needed more job skills she attended and graduated from Fond Du Lac Vocational School at age 41. She rewarded herself with a job at Tobin Tool and Die. The move to Brown Deer allowed her to take the job she loved the most, school secretary at Hillel a Jewish elementary school. Ann was not done yet as she helped to raise grandchildren, care for her grandmother, and take lots of vacations from coast to coast.
Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Perl and Ruby Peasley; grandparents, Will and Grace Kimball; aunt, Lucille Kimball; aunt, Verna Kirkwood; grandaughter, Jeannie Stover; grandson, Andrew Drollinger; husband, Frank Drollinger.
