- MORGANTOWN - Condolences are being shared with the family of Adolphus Ophield Miles as they announce his passing which occurred on September 3, 2020. There will be a viewing on Sunday, September 6, 2020 from 12:00pm until 7:00pm at Sharpe Funeral Home. Services will be at 11:00am Monday, September 7, 2020 from the chapel of Sharpe Funeral Home, Inc. Entombment will follow the services in Alamance Memorial Park.
Ophield was born to Laddie Miles, Sr. and Genevieve Viola Trollinger Miles and the husband of Evelyn Teel Miles. He was a retiree of Duke Energy and member of First Baptist Church. He was the owner and operator also of Miles Auto Shop.
He leaves loving memories to his children: Sonia Corbett (Ronald) and Christopher Miles (Amy); three grandchildren: Jenna A. Corbett, Darren Miles and Justin A. Corbett: three siblings: Beulah M. Farrish, Debra M. Satterfield and Perry C. Miles (Patsy).
In addition to his wife and parents he was preceded in death by siblings: Mary Ella, Elsie Mae, Laddie, Jr., George and Jeffrey Miles.
