Charles Kelsey, a resident of Chico for the past 10 years died Friday morning in the Good Samaritan Hospital at Oroville. He had been in failing health for the past two months. He was born in Oregon and spent his early life there. He learned the carpentry trade there, which he followed all his life.
In 1930 he came to Chico where he contracted for a few years and then moved to Orland. In 1932 he was married to Ada Judson, in Orland. In 1942 they moved to Chico, where he had resided since that time. His wife preceded him in death two and one-half months ago. He was a member of the Chico Burial Society. Funeral services will be held Tuesday morning at 11 o'clock in the Huddleston Funeral Chapel with Dr. William MacInnes of the Bidwell Memorial Presbyterian Church officiating."
