On June 18, 2005 in Centerville, Ed was united in marriage to LuAnn Holt. Ed enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding four wheelers and spending time with his family, especially with his grandchildren, Kaleigh and Lucas and two very special little guys, Matthew Rotter and Billy Wells. Ed is survived by his parents, Guy and Joyce Mathes of Herculaneum, his wife LuAnn Mathes of Centerville, children, Carrie and husband Stein of Festus, Brian of Festus, Christopher and Jessica of Centerville, two sisters, Nancy Whillock and husband Vern of Festus, Annette Jacobs and husband Greg of Imperial, two grandchildren, Kaleigh and Lucas. Ed is also survived by his nieces and nephews, Ashley, Amanda, Nelson, Nick, Brendan, Lee, Hayden, Hunter and Matthew. Ed will be deeply missed by his family and many friends who will mourn his passing.
