Unknown Infant Trullinger

Name Unknown Infant Trullinger Birth 1873 Fountain County, IN Gender Female Death 26 Feb 1874 Fountain County, IN - An infant daughter of Milton Trullinger, east of town, was fatally burned on Thursday morning last. The mother had gone out to milk, and left the child in the house. When she returned, it ran to meet her with every stich of clothing burned from its little body from the waist up, a strand of beads remaining about its neck. Dr. Kellenberger hastened to its relief as soon as notified, but it was beyond mortal aid, and after intense suffering died the evening of the same day of the accident. As the child was only a little over a year old, it could give no explanation. It is supposed that it was playing with a lighted paper at the stove hearth, thus causing the heartrending accident. - Attica Ledger [Transcribed]
