- Gladys A. Hancock Drollinger, age 93, of Vernal, formerly of Roosevelt, died December 20, 2006 at the Uintah Care Center in Vernal.
She was born February 4, 1913 in Roosevelt to Ether Thomas and Ara Belle Alexander Hancock. She married Clifford E. Drollinger June 21, 1934 and their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple December 6, 1934.
Gladys loved to oil paint, always had a beautiful garden and yard, loved to travel, and enjoyed crafts. She was active in the LDS Church and served as an officer and teacher in all the auxiliaries. She and Cliff also served a mission in the California Sacramento mission in 1975-76.
She is survived by husband, Cliff, Vernal; Children, Lee Raye (Lee) Christner, Rexburg, ID; Sheryl (Jay) Gates, Jim (Donna) Drollinger, both Vernal; Marilyn (David) Hancock, Portland, OR; Steven (Goldie) Drollinger, Kaysville; Brent (Cindy) Drollinger, Bountiful; 23 grandchildren, 53 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by all ten of her brothers and sisters.
Funeral services held Saturday, December 23, 2006, 11:00 am at the Roosevelt LDS 4th Ward Chapel.
Burial in the Roosevelt Memorial Park under direction of the Hullinger Mortuary.
