- MEBANE - Funeral for Mrs. Pecola Mae Evans Spoon, 81, of Route 4, who died Thursday, will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Riverdale Baptist Church, of which she was a member. Burial will be in Bush Arbor Primitive Baptist Church cemetery
A native of Caswell County, she was a former employee of Brown-Wooten Hosiery Co. and the operator of Spoon's Nursery.
Surviving are husband, Thomas A. Spoon; daughters, Mrs. Wilda Gilley, Hilda Spoon, both of Graham; sons, Raiford C. Spoon of Edenton, Willis E. Spoon of Richmond Hill, Ga., Tommy J. Spoon of Graham; 15 grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren.
The family will be at McClure Funeral Home 7-9 p.m. today, other times at the residence.
