- Douglas E. Trollinger of Yellow Springs, passed away Monday, April 16, at Greene Memorial Hospital. He was 57.
He was born Sept. 25, 1949, in Springfield, the son of Marvin E. and Mary Lou (Williams) Trollinger.
Doug was a 1967 graduate of Yellow Springs High School, an Air Force veteran, serving during the Vietnam War, and had been employed in shipping at the Yellow Springs Instrument Co. for the past 40 years. He enjoyed gardening, crafts, being a collector, photography and going on cruises. He was preceded in death by his mother. Survivors include his wife Kay (Hunkler) Trollinger, whom he married July 3, 1993; his father, Marvin, of Yellow Springs; children, Nancy Lyn Wallace, Springfield, Mark Douglas Trollinger, Chandler, Ariz., and Michael Lee Williams, Fairborn; grandchildren, Timothy William, Daniel Douglas and Dylan Wayne Wallace; sister and brother-in-law, Kathie Lyn and Harold Jackson of Springfield, Ohio; brothers and sisters-in-law, Terry Wayne and June Trollinger, Yellow Springs, and David Earl and Beverly Trollinger of Springfield; several nieces and nephews and a great-nephew.
Funeral services were held on Friday, April 20, at the McColaugh Funeral Home, Inc., Xenia, with burial following in the Byron Cemetery.
