Notes - The 1820 census of Montgomery Co., Va. lists Adam with 2 daugthersunder the age of 10. So it is almost certain that Lucinda & Carolinewere born in Virginia. Montgomery Co. Deed book K, page 310 stronglyimplies that Adam was living in Montgomery Co. in 1826. He is listedwith with the other Montgomery Co. heirs of his father. His brotherGeorge is listed as living in Indiana. He is not found in any states1830 census. He married second wife in 1834 in Virginia. It is mostlikely that Peggy Rader died after the birth of John Floyd in 1832 andbefore his second marriage. All 6 children are found in the 1840Hawkins Co., TN census (listed by ages only) and the 1850 Hawkins Co.,TN census (By name and age). Due to different census (1850,1860,1870and 1880) reporting different states that his children were born in itseems that he may have been shuffling back and forth between TENN andVA during the 1816 - 1834 period. Adam was a soldier in the War of1812. Adam along with his brothers Henry #6 and Alexander #8 joinedthe army at the same time, 13 Feb 1815. All three served in Capt.William Currin's Company together. And they received $4 dollars fortheir service when they were all discharged together on 28 Feb. 1815.Margaret Reeder was awarded $8 in May 1881 for his service.
