      Flag--George W. Drollinger, age 88, of St. Charles died Sunday, August 27, 2006 at Pineview Care Center in St. Charles, Illinois.
      He was born September 30, 1917 in Chicago, Illinois to Leo and Ossie Drollinger.
      He was a member of the Telephone Pioneers and St. Mark's Lutheran Church in St. Charles.
      Mr. Drollinger is survived by two daughters, Joanne (Dennis) Treichel of Hampshire, Illinois and Lynn (Jerry) Egli of Salem, South Carolina, a son, Jack (Cathy) of Barrington, Illinois, eight grandchildren, Lori(William) Curran, Pam (Tom) Enos and Scott Treichel, Nick (Jennifer),Ryan (Claire) and Rob Egli and Erin and Kristin Drollinger and a great-grandson, Zachary Curran.
      He was preceded in death by his wife, Marion in 1990, his parents, a brother, Richard Drollinger
      Funeral service will be held 10:00 A.M., Friday, September 1st at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, 101 South 6th Avenue, St. Charles, Illinois. Rev. Timothy Silber officiating. Burial will be at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Hillside, Illinois. Visitation will be Thursday from 4-9:00 P.M. at Yurs Funeral Home, 405 East Main Street, (corner of Rt.64 and Rt. 25), St. Charles, Illinois. Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 143 South First Street, Batavia, Illinois 60510 or to St. Mark's Lutheran Church 101 South 6th Avenue, St. Charles, Illinois 60174.
