- Norma Lee Newman, 84, of Raymore, MO passed away April 12, 2018 at the Kansas City Hospice House surrounded by her loving family.
Visitation will be held 6-8 PM Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at Cullen Funeral Home in Raymore. Funeral service will be held 10 AM Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at the funeral home with a graveside service at 1:30 PM at Laurel Oak Cemetery, Windsor, MO. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Kansas City Hospice House, 1500 Meadow Lake Pkwy #200, Kansas City, MO 64114.
Norma was born August 4, 1933 in Windsor, Missouri. She was the daughter of Robert B. Call and Lulu Mae Bush. Norma grew up on a small farm in Leeton, Missouri and attended Leeton High School.
On November 5, 1954, Norma was united into marriage with Loyde Dwane Newman. Together, Norma and Dwane were blessed with two children, Robert and Linda. In 1972, together they built a home on a farm in Raymore, Missouri and have been there ever since. Norma was a Senior Secretary in claims for Farmers Insurance for over 27 years. Norma spent her spare time scrapbooking and she had an overwhelming love for cats.
Norma was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Emery C. Call.
She is survived by her loving husband Dwane Newman of 63 years; son, Robert 'Bob' Lee Newman and wife Deana; daughter, Linda Diane Logan and husband Arlen; nine grandchildren, Cody Newman (Rebecca), Joshua Newman (Brittni), Amy Bowden (Matt), Casey Soland, Clay Soland, Khristen Hammond (Dan), Cheyenne Logan, Levi Logan, and Ashley Stark (James); and 10 great-grandchildren.
