- Louis Ray Marchal, 59, of Dayton, died Wednesday, June 30, 2004, at his residence.
Funeral services will be held at 10 AM, Tuesday, July 6, 2004, a the Sterling Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Gerald Wallace officiating and burial following at Palms Memorial Park in Dayton. Visitation will be held from 5 PM to 9 PM, Monday at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Sterling Funeral Home in Dayton.
Louis was born May 13, 1945 in Morganza, LA to parents; George J. and Nola M. Landry Marchal, a former resident of Baker, LA and has resided in the Dayton area for the past 24 years. He was a graduate of the Morganza High School class of 1963, veteran of the U.S. Navy with service during the Vietnam War, a retired Project Coordinator for Exxon-Mobil of Mont Belvieu and Baton Rouge with 31 years of service, and a HAM radio operator. He also enjoyed playing golf, photography, and especially spending time with his grandchildren and their sports activities.
Mr. Marchal was preceded in death by his parents, sister: Edith Schexnayder, brother: George 'Buddy' Marchal, nephew: Bill Schexnayder, and niece: Judy Beltz. He is survived by his wife of 36 years: Beckie L. Trollinger Marchal of Dayton, son: Kenneth Marchal and wife Le of La Porte, daughter: Rhonda Marchal of Katy grandchildren: Blake, Karynn, and Ryan Marchal, and Alicia Rincon, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
