      Ralph Clyde Dart, age 84, of North Myton Bench, died April 14, 2005, at his home from Parkinson's disease.

      He was born April 30, 1920, in North Myton Bench to Orville Amos and Gladyes Edith Walker Dart.

      Married Velma Lucille Drollinger May 12, 1941 in Vernal.

      Ralph attended schools in Roosevelt, Wasatch Academy and Utah State University. Ralph was a farmer and sheep and cattle rancher. He spent many years custom combining grain crops and was in great demand. He bought seed for Porter Walton and Northrup King as well as raising his own. He and his dad were the first ones to bring hybrid corn to the Basin. He had a knowledge of the land and animals that few people attain. Many farmers came to him asking advice about planting and harvesting. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

      Ralph served as director and president of the Uintah Farmers Co-op for several years, was the director of the Uintah Basin Credit Union for 30 years, several terms as committee member for Farm Home Administration, director for Dry Gulch Irrigation, Moon Lake Water Users and Associated Water Users. He was awarded the lifetime service and achievement award by the Duchesne County Soil Conservation District.

      Ralph is survived by his wife; children, Glenna (Phil) Brotherson, Ralph (Susan) Dart, Jr., Beth (Alarik) Myrin, Roger (Lorrette) Dart, Bruce (Chona) Dart, all of the Uintah Basin; 23 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mary Reinsimar, Meadow Vista, Calif.; Dorothy (Richard ?Dick?) Milliman, Calimesa, Calif.; and Freddie (Don) Lederhos, Bonners Ferry, Idaho.

      Preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Orville Dart and Bill Dart; and two sisters, Margaret Zorko and Ruth Leigh.

      Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 20 11 a.m. at the Myton LDS Chapel. Friends and family may call at the Hullinger Mortuary Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Church.

      Interment will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park.
