  	From her obituary: " Mrs. Teague was among the early orchard owners of Yucaipa valley, buying there about 1913. At one time she owned 40 acres of apples in the South bench, the last of the holdings being disposed of about two years ago. During this time she was a frequent summer visitor there, though she maintained her home in Pomona." "She was born near Troy, Iowa, March 8, 1858, and came to California with her parents in 1865, crossing the plains in a covered wagon. The family left Troy in April, 1865, and arrived in Santa Rosa, California, Aug. 12 of that years"..."During the trip Mrs. Teague's mother was ill with typhoid fever and the daughter, only 7 years old, was her nurse." ... "She lived in Santa Rosa until her marriage to Harvey T. Teague on Nov. 12, 1876, then removed with him to Hollister. The family resided at Hollister until they removed to Pomona in 1883, at that time hardly more than a village, and she had resided in or near that city since that time."
