- Funeral services for Mark Pierson, 58, of Fruitvale, TX are scheduled for 1:00 PM, Monday, March 9, 2015, at Hiett's LyBrand Funeral Home Chapel in Edgewood, TX. Burial will follow at Morrow Chapel Cemetery in Kaufman County.
Mark passed away March 5, 2015, in Tyler, TX.
Mark Douglas Pierson was born November 20, 1956, in Dallas, TX to James Watley and Dorothy Rogers Pierson. He grew up in Pleasant Grove where he attended school. He made his home in Mesquite where he raised his family. Mark was a self-employed licensed electrician and worked for Dallas ISD. He has made his home in Fruitvale for the last several years. Mark attended Bible Baptist Church in Grand Saline, TX.
Mark loved to laugh and make others laugh along with him. He enjoyed tinkering around, dancing, the outdoors and anything mechanical.
He is preceded in death by his father, James Pierson; brother-in-law, Harold Bailey; and sister-in-law, Sandra Pierson.
He is survived by his mother, Dorothy Pierson of Fruitvale; sons, Britt Tucker of Forney, Joshua Pierson of Mesquite and Jeremy Pierson and wife, Spring of Mesquite; daughters, Darla Lindell and husband, Jeremy of Arlington and Brittany Blue and husband, Colby of Grand Saline; brothers, James Lee Pierson of Fruitvale, Steve Pierson of Wills Point and Jeffery Pierson of Fruitvale; sisters, Susan Bailey of Fruitvale, Donna Davis and husband, Charles of Wills Point and Teresa Pierson of Fruitvale; grandchildren, Cameron Tucker, Cole Tucker, Jakob Pierson, Jeremy Pierson, Jr., Skylar Lindell, Jaxson Lindell, Devin Blue, Daytona Blue and McKinley Blue; former wives, Joyce Allen and Venus Tucker; and other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home in Edgewood from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, Monday, prior to service time.
