Notes

Dan and his family were all active members of Crescent Hill Baptist Church. In Louisville he worked as one of the office managers for the Kentucky State Employment Service, and was active in local and state politics. Dan was a serious sports fan, especially when it came to baseball. In 1945 he was able to travel to Chicago, to see the Chicago Cubs and Detroit Tigers play in the World Series. In fact, in 1954 he died of a heart attack, while attending a Louisville Colonels baseball game at Parkway Field, Louisville, KY.
