Carl Hansen February 18, 1930 - September 1, 2010 STAYTON, Ore. -Carl, 80, died Wednesday in Stayton. He was born in Marysville, Idaho.Carl grew up in Idaho and Washington and moved to Stayton in 1964. Herode the Rodeo circuit, and on cattle ranches in Montana and was anavid hunter. Carl served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Heworked in the seed cleaners for Santiam Farmers and later Wilco from1964-1992. Carl served on the Stayton Fire Department from 1965-1979.He worked as an EMT from 1964 -2004 for Santiam Ambulance. Carl was amember of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, StaytonWard. He married Dorothy Hill on December 10, 1950, in Weiser, Idaho.Carl is survived by his wife, Dorothy of Stayton; sons, Dewayne(Leathy) Hansen of Missoula, Mont., Rodney (Loraine) Hansen ofAumsville, Jerry (Denise) Hansen of Salem, and Doug (Tori) Hansen ofMehama; daughters, Rosemarie Johnson of Philomath, Lori (Randy) Grayof West Stayton, and Debbie Bierbower of Salem; brothers, Glen Leglerof Eugene and Clyde Hansen of Milton-Freewater; sisters, May Palmer ofMurtaugh, Idaho and Neola Martinez of Twin Falls, Idaho; 21grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren. Viewing will be from 10 -10:45 a.m., Thursday, September 9, 2010, at the Church of Jesus Christof Latter-day Saints in Stayton, followed by services at 11 a.m.Interment in Lone Oak Cemetery in Stayton. Serving the family, NorthSantiam Funeral Service, Stayton.
