  	SMITH FUNERAL HOME - OBIT EXCERPTS Arline May Thompson of Brooks, beloved wife of the late Henry Thompson, passed away in Brooks on Monday, March 21st, 2016 at the age of 91 years. Arline was born in Claresholm, Alberta on October 27th, 1924. She received her schooling in Claresholm and her post-secondary schooling at Calgary Normal School. Arline was married to Henry on July 15th, 1944 in Calgary. They farmed in Lomond until 1970, when they moved Brooks. Arline taught in Bow City as a school teacher, until she was married and became a devoted farm wife and mother to her two children Bill and Susan. Arline was an avid sports fan of her children, grandchildren and the Blue Jays. She will be lovingly remembered for her love of her family and her kind heart. Arline absolutely loved playing cards and cooking amazing meals for all her family and friends. She was predeceased by her parents George and Cora Gipson, her husband Henry, her son Bill and all her siblings.
