Mom and dad moved to Riggins to get acquainted with Monica and Cassandra. (Bob Drollinger 25 Nov 2020)

Interestingly, John Wesley Drollinger (born: 2 May 1853) lived and farmed in Mineral City School District which is less than four miles from the town of Ely, NV which is where Curtis Ward Drollinger and his father, Ellis Harold Drollinger, lived. The interesting part is they are not even closely related at all! One would wonder if they were aware of one another.

Spinach is right dish for Ely, Nevada man!
A retired land surveyor formerly from Ely, Nev. was "strong to the finish" as he beat out nine other contestants, including his son, to win the Great Popeye Spinach-Eating Contest's $5,000 grand prize at Paris Resort Casino last week. Stating that he was "a little green around the gills," 65-year-old Ward Drollinger consumed a total of eight cans of spinach during the15-minute contest. Seated next to Drollinger was his son, 41-year-old Robert Caldwell of Las Vegas, who was the first contestant to withdraw from the event. The spinach-eating contest was held on the sidewalk in front of the resort. Co-hosted by Bally Gaming and Systems and KOOL 93.1 FM, The Great Popeye Spinach-Eating Contest was held to publicize the debut of Bally Gaming's new Popeye video slot machines throughout Nevada. The Popeye games were initially installed at Paris Resort and Casino and the Rail City Casino in Sparks on Dec. 20, but locations throughout the state are scheduled to showcase the games in the coming weeks. A slot tournament featuring a $10,000 grand prize was held immediately following the spinach-eating festivities at the resort. With a reset value of $100,000 that escalates in relation to player wagering, this video game builds on the entertainment the world's ultimate spinach-eater, Popeye the Sailor Man, has provided for more than 70 years as one of the most endearing characters ever created. Popeye, the newest member of the Bally Gaming Thrillions progressive system family, will offer players in Nevada another mid-range progressive game, joining the $100,000 Betty Boop game that has proven to be extremely popular. The new Popeye video slot game offers two special bonus features that spotlight classic scenes such as Popeye fighting past Brutus to rescue Olive Oyl and Wimpy chomping hamburgers. The game also offers high-resolution graphics and advanced sound on the new EVO VIDEO platform.
