Craig, Veedersburg, 83, died at 12:30 p.m. January 15, 1996 in the Veterans Administration Medical Center, Danville, Illinois. He was born October 11, 1912 at Veedersburg, the son of Charles W. and Lillie Lightle Craig. He married Louise Clay Short August 4, 1952 at Rockville. She preceded him in death October 25, 1995. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was retired from Harrison Steel at Attica. Surviving are four sons: Marion (Mary) Craig, Veedersburg; Glen (Patty) Craig, Lexington Park, Missouri; Richard (Pat) Caraig, Portland; Kenneth (Debra) Craig, Lafayette; a daughter, Carol (Dale) Cushman, Veedersburg; a step-son , Charles Short, Veedersburg; two brothers, Jim Craig, Rensselaer; Robert (Joan) Craig ,Veedersburg; a sister, Gladys Corey, Crawfordsville; several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several neices and nephews. He was preceded in death by two sisters, two brothers, a grand-daughter, a great-granddaughter and a son. Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in Dickerson Funeral Home , Veedersburg, with the Rev. Glen Ray officiating. Burial was in Mount Hope Cemetery, Covington.
