Stewart, 74, Korean War Army veteran A memorial service for Malcolm L. Stewart, 74, of New Albany, will beheld at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 17, at Generations Funeral Home, 3309Ballard Lane, New Albany. He died Monday, Jan. 15, 2007, at hisresidence. He was the son of the late Edna and Joseph A. Stewart. He was a memberof the Hobart Beach VFW Post 1693, and a past member of TheKentuckiana Square Dancers Association, as well as an Army veteran ofthe Korean War. Survivors include his wife, Mary Spalding-Stewart; his four children,Ed Stewart and his wife, Beth, Brenda Curry and her husband, Gary, KenStewart and his wife, Tammy and Paula Drollinger and her husband,Russell; five stepchildren, Barbara Best and her husband, Les, MargoDavis and her husband, Gary, Robert Spalding and his wife, Janet,Donald Spalding and his wife, Mary Lynn and Sherri Wood and herhusband, Tim; 18 grandchildren; 13 step-grandchildren; ninegreat-grandchildren; and 21 step-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Hazel Marie Stewart;and two brothers, Marvin L. Stewart and Melvin L. Stewart. Visitation at the funeral home will be from noon to time of service onWednesday.
