Coming to Alamance

Mr. and Mrs. Stratford Will Live at Trolinger Home. Mr. W. 0. Stratford, who has lived in Greensboro many years, expects to soon move to Alamance to make his home. He will sell his home in Greensboro Saturday, 31st inst., at auction. Mr. Stratford's wife was Miss Bessie 0. Trolinger, daughter of the late William H. Trolinger. Early the first of next mouth they will move to the old Trolinger Homestead on Haw river, two miles East of Graham, to round out their journey. The move is at the solicitation of Mr. Jno. A. Trolinger, who owns the old home. This property has an interesting history, being a grant from the Crown of England to the original Trolinger six generations back, but became an American citizen in residence as well in name and his descendants are praying for the defeat of the Hohenzollern dynasty which has plunged the world into holocaust of frightful destruction. Mr. Stratford will devote his entire time to the farm and stock raising, while Mr. Trolinger will devote his time to his modern, up-to-date brick manufacturing plant at Mebane, where he has plenty of fine clay. Mrs. Stratford's friends of her girlhood days will welcome her and her husband back to the old home after so long an absence.
