    Text ... my husband was an only child, his father, John Skelly died in 1950 aged 96, his mother was Sarah Ann Rankin who died in 1930. My mother's maiden name was Essie Skelly she died in 1902 she had 3 brothers John lived on a farm near Dromara had a family of 7 all dead but one Robert lived on a farm in Garvaghy was married had only one daughter still alive. William lived in the old home Artana House his wife was a Miss Nelson Garvaghy they had a family of 8 all dead but James who still lives in Artana House. In the early 19th century there was a family of Skellys lived in Marybrook a Robert Skelly they had 3 son all dead. Robert Skelly was an uncle of my mother. Also in the early years a family of Skellys lived on the march with us. These Skellys left the country and went to Belfast about 60 years ago, two brothers Sam and James became the owners of the Belfast Curing Company. James and wife both dead no family. Sam married had a son who is a Doctor in England and daughter who lives in Bangor. Sam and wife both dead...
