14569 | Burl Eubank Runnels, 84, of Lubbock went to be with our heavenly father Thursday, August 12, 2021. He was born March 2, 1937, in Brownfield to Hubert Lois and Hettie Louise Runnels. Burl married Martha Nell Perkins on March 16, 1957, in Brownfield. He worked as a salesman for Harris and Thrush for 22 years and then LTS for 25 years. Burl was a member of the First Baptist Church in Wolfforth for 50 year and a member of Care Givers of Wolfforth. Burl never met a stranger and was always stopping on the highway to help those that needed it. He loved his family and especially his grandson. Burl loved to fish, and when he went fishing with his grandson, he was the last to be ready to leave. Burl is preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, and two brothers. Burl is survived by his loving wife, Martha Runnels of Lubbock; son, Lance of Lubbock; daughter, Kayla Colwell and husband, Sid, of Nixon; one grandson, Camron Colwell; and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services for Burl will be held at 10 am, Tuesday, August 17, 2021, at the Terry County Memorial Cemetery with Rev. C.W. Faulkner officiating. She was a native of Alamance County and the wife of the late William Millard Faucette. Julia retired from the Alamance County School System and was a home care sitter for shut-ins for many years. She was a member of Carolina Christian Church and the Lady's Sunday School class, and also a member of The Heart Seniors Fellowship. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She is survived by her daughter, Bonnie F. Perry and her husband, Linwood, of Forest City; nine grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her husband and her son, Kenneth Ray Faucette; great-great-grandson, Joshua Quintin Faucette; and her parents, Ernest Robert Dickey and Cora Trollinger Dickey. Survivors include his wife, Virginia, of the home; two children, Melody Richardson-Porch and Gregory L. Richardson; siblings, Raymond Davis (Lavern), Betty Jean Davis, Vernon L. Davis, Vivian Thibou (Hugh), Iris Robinson, Gary Davis (Letecia), Lonnie Davis, Timothy Davis, and Hortense Smith; two grandchildren, Cameron Walton and Jai Harden; and five great- grandchildren. He was preceded in death by siblings, Joyce M. Jones and Bobby Richardson. She resided at 743 Rauhut Street prior to becoming a resident of Liberty Commons Health Care the last two years. She lived in Burlington for over 75 years. A native of Alamance County, she was the daughter of the late Eddie Baxter Trollinger Jr. and Mabel Trollinger, who survives. She was a licensed optician for over 30 years. Deborah was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Burlington and also a member of numerous civic and social organizations since high school. She was a loving, devoted and kind mother, daughter, sister and friend. In addition to her mother of Burlington, survivors include two daughters, Collins Peavy and husband Alex and Jacqueline McAdams; sister, Sue Trollinger of Richmond, Va.; brother, Eddie Trollinger and wife Sandra; several nieces and nephews; and special friend, Chris Pittard.
