  	Oscar L. Kind CHOTEAU - Sheep grower Oscar L. Kind, 92, of Choteau, died Wednesday in a Choteau care center of natural causes. His funeral is 2 p.m. Saturday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Choteau, with burial of ashes in Choteau Cemetery. O'Conner Funeral Home is handling arrangements. Kind was born November 21, 1905 in Sauk Centre, Minnesota and attended Power schools. He married Wanda Jean Drollinger in 1937 in Fort Benton. He served with the last regiment of the U. S. Army Horse Calvary. He moved to the Fairfield Sunny Slope Bench in 1950 to farm. Kind was recently honored by the Montana Columbia Association, was inducted into the Columbia Hall of Fame and was recognized for his many years of work in breeding sheep. He first purchased Columbians in 1942, introducing the breed to Montana. He also was a member of the Wool Growers Association. Kind sheared sheep for 60 years, retiring after his 90th birthday. His fleeces brought top honors at wool shows. He also enjoyed elk hunting, fishing, gardening and growing roses. Surviving are daughters, Mary Jean Armstrong, Donna Mae Stevenson and Barbara Ann Triol of Choteau and Betty Lou Short of Billings; a son, Jerry Lee Kind of Great Falls; sisters, Emma Davis of Power and Hazel Dare of Eureka; brothers, Ernie Kind of Fairfield, Charlie Kind of Highwood and Louis Kind of Tracy; 18 grandchildren; and 32 great-grandchildren. Sadly, she died of complications in child birth. He married Wanda Jean Drollinger in 1937 in Fort Benton, Choteau, Montana.
