I have been going through all of the Trollinger/Drollinger Postingstill way in the morning. I seem to think you know quit alot on thisfamily. I descended from the ELLIOTTS and I
live in Oklahoma. I have My family background to 1616-1698 When Wendel
(as I have his name)Drollinger came from the Tyrol in Austria. He wasmy
GGGGGGGGG-Grandfather, and his Great Grandson, Adam Trollinger was my...
GGGGGG-Grandfather. Adams Father was Hans Michael Drollinger and hiswife,
Eva (Klemmer) Drollinger, whom are my GGGGGGG-Grandparents. Can youtell me
the correct way that Wendell Drollinger spelled his name? Also am Icorrect on
Hans Michael? The information that I have was from "The Darsts ofVirginia, A Chronicle
Of Ten Generations in the Old Dominion, with Sketches of the Cecil,Charlton,
Glendy, Grigsby, Larew, Miller, Welch, Trollinger, Wygal, WysorFamilies. By, H.Jackson Darst,University Library, Chrstianburg,Virginia.
What is your comments on this information? I have complete Historydown to My Grand
father, Doc McHenry Elliott and my Grand-mother Annie Jane Elliott, whom lived in
Marietta, Ok,Love County. Martin Elliott Sr had married, Mary (Polly)Trollinger
(Heavener) (Elliott). They were my GGG-Grandparents. Theyre son MartinElliott
Jr. married Elizabeth Myra Long (Elliott) and they were myGG-Grandparents. They
had a son, Rabourn Elliott (called Rabe) and he married Elvoria(Elvira) Brown
(Elliott) and they were my Great Grand-parents. Most had come fromMontgomery
Co Virginia to N Carolina, Texas and Oklahoma. Most of my Elliotts arestill
in Oklahoma and alot buried in the Lake view Cemetary there, andBurbeyville
Cemetary. Rabourn had ran the Dexter Texas Ferryboat in about 1850until
he was killed by horsethiefs in 1875. My grandfather and grandmotheralso
ran the Ferryboat, from the time my grandfather Doc Elliott was 13 yrs
old. They were a right up also of them. They called him The Riverboat
Man and her The Boat Woman. He even took Bonnie and Clyde Parker over
into Texas and theyre car, but was by them forcing him to do so. Heuse
to lay on the porch when I was a kid and tell me the stories over andover.
I just wanted to share this and too get your opinion. I was real newat
this a couple of months ago and upon my short search ran into all ofthe
History I now have. It was on these message boards that got mestarted.
If you know anything I dont sure would be nice to here from you.
