A Compiled History of the families that Settled at the End of the Oregon Trail
Vol. One
The turn of the century arrived at Union Mills. Gabriel had aged and his son, Delazon, had taken over the reins of management at Union Mills.
In the late 1800s Delazon married Maude Paine. They had four children: Blanche, Maude, Pauline and a son Grant. May of 1901 tragedy struck the Trullinger family at Union Mills. The family kept a boat at the old lake to cross on, but for unknown reasons, that day Grant, aged fourteen, had decided to try to cross on the logs. He fell into the lake and drowned, leaving Dellazon without a son to carry on the Trullinger name.
