  Note! I have a copy of a newspaper article about Burl titled, "Packer says mules are 'nicer to pack'" dated, 18 Sep 1980 and was published in The Whitefish Pilot newspaper (Whitefish, MT), Burl makes the following comment in regards to his mules: "He jokes that one reason he likes them is that he was born in Missouri." According to the article, it says Burl was now 77 years old and says he and Ragna "raised four children, three of whom survived and live in the Flathead." (David H.
