- Marilyn F. Drollinger, age 73, of Lowell, Ark., passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2013, while at the Northwest Medical Center in Springdale, Ark.
Marilyn was born on Nov. 2, 1939 in Monett, Mo., daughter of the late Horace Guy Keeton and Hallie Mae (Beck) Keeton. She attended school in Monett. Marilyn married Martin Victor Drollinger on May 7, 1970 in Papillion, Neb. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandma and role model to her family. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, knitting, puzzle books and cross stitching.
Marilyn is survived by four sons, James Myers, Jr., and wife, Sandy, of Columbia, Tenn., Michael Myers, and wife, Sulinda, of Lowell, Ark., David Smith, and wife, Judy, of Springdale, Ark. and James Robert Myers, III, and companion, Amanda, of Springdale; three daughters, Helen Johnson, and husband, James, of Springdale, Jessie Herrera, and husband, Miguel, of Tontitown, Ark. and Melinda Torix, and husband, Jimmy, of Rogers, Ark.; one brother, Don Keeton, and companion, Tabitha Zellers, of Monett, Mo.; two sisters, Ruth Aldridge, and husband, Lanny, of Cassville, Mo. and Judy Morris, and husband, Lones, of Benton, La.; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two sons, Raymond and Marvin Smith; two brothers, Jim and Clarence Keeton; and one sister, Maurine Hash.
Marilyn loved all her grandchildren equally, but took great joy and pride in taking care of her special needs grandson, Calvin. His smile always brightened her day.
Funeral services for Mrs. Drollinger will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 2, 2013 at the Buchanan Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Monett, where she will be laid to rest with her husband, Vic Drollinger. The family will receive friends for a visitation from 6 until 8 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
