Neva Marie Newman Trullinger, age 92, our beloved mother, grandmother and sister died Sunday, Oct. 8, 2000 at the Tooele Valley Nursing Home. God's blessings to those who cared for her during her 10 year stay.
She was born in a farm house near Essex, Iowa on March 4, 1908. She was the oldest of seven children born to John and Zella Vickers Newman. She graduated from Coin, Iowa High School. Neva married Dolliver (Doll) Trullinger of Farragut, Iowa on Jan. 26, 1927. They were the parents of three children.
Preceding her in death were: her parents, John and Zella; her husband, Doll; son, John Richard; brother Reldon; sisters, Marjorie and Nita; grandson, Dennis; and a great-grandson.
Neva was active in Garden Club, Homemakers Club and United Methodist Women. All children, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren called her Grandma "T". We will miss you Grandma!
Neva is survived by her daughter, Gail and husband Bill of Tooele; her son, Dale of Denver, Colo.; grandchildren Paul James of Grantsville, Joyce James Lane of Pine Canyon, Brad Trullinger of West Virginia, Brian Trullinger and Tammi Trullinger Cross of Colorado, and Becky Cole of Florida; 14 great-grandchildren; as well as two sisters: Winifred Lane of Texas and Louise Spicer of California; and one brother, Thomas Newman of Iowa. In addition to many nieces, nephews and friends in many states.
A memorial service followed by a luncheon will be held Saturday, Oct.14, 2000 at 11:30 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Tooele, Utah. Graveside services and interment will be at the Farragut, Iowa cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, please give to your favorite charity or to the United Methodist Church Memorial Fund.
