Anna Lillian Smittle, age 99, longtime Coweta resident went to be with her Lord and Savior Saturday morning, May 16, 2020 at her home in Coweta, OK surrounded by her family. Lillian was born February 24, 1921 in Turley, OK and was the daughter of Virgil and Leota (Haworth) Davis. She attended Broken Arrow Public Schools. Lillian married the love of her life, Robert W. Smittle on June 4, 1938 in Chelsea, OK. She was a devoted homemaker who loved caring for her family. Lillian was a member of the Peach Capital Homemakers Club. Lillian enjoyed traveling, crafts, seamstress work, ceramics, and she loved spending time with her family.
Lillian is survived by her son, Robert Dillion Smittle; her daughter, Billie Ann Seelig, and husband Joe; 7 grandchildren, William Robert Smittle, Steven and Mishelle Smittle, Tim and Christy Seeling, Kelle and Jeff Bishop, Shannon and Owen Swartwood, Jesse David Smittle, and Robert Dillon Smittle; 11 great grandchildren, Lillian Smittle, Solomon Smittle, Santiago Smittle, Logan Seeling, Jamie and Johnathan Vale, Shelby and Zach O?Neal, Savannah Swartwood, Eli Swartwood, Andrew Jesse Smittle, Aubrie Smittle, and Lynlee Smittle; 4 great-great grandchildren, Aberdeen, Swaley, Iron, and Leif; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Lillian was preceded in death by her husband, Robert W. Smittle; her son, Virgil David Smittle; her parents, Virgil and Leota Davis; and her daughter-in-law, Brenda Smittle.
Viewing for Lillian will be from 4:00 ? 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 19, 2020 at Brown Funeral Home. There will be a private family graveside service for Lillian. She will be laid to rest at Memorial Park Cemetery in Tulsa, OK.
