Notes - George is a bit of an enigma. From the data collected by Charlie Meier he was supposed to have died after 1907 on the county poor farm in Crawford County PA. However I found his death recorded in the courthouse in Franklin for Venango County at the poor farm. His occupation was given as a watch tinker. In a 6 March 1870 letter from Elisha Archer McGinnis to his nephew, he writes he has only gotten one letter from George since he came from the army (1865). In the 1860 census he is living in Plum Township PO Perry PA age 38 a hotel keeper with a Sam'l D. Fajundus as head of family (assume hotel owner?). His father Wm McGinnis age 79 is there also. Where he went after 1860 until his death in 1897 is a mystery. Gordon L. Drollinger
